Science & Engineering

Please be advised that applications are no longer being accepted for this program.

The Science & Engineering Program (SEP) has been preparing Boston University students for academic and professional success in the fields of science and engineering since the 1980s.

SEP’s structured, two-year course of study fulfills the freshman- and sophomore-year requirements of a Boston University bachelor’s degree. Students in the program work closely with our select faculty of committed educators and renowned experts to build a strong academic foundation in the areas of science and engineering. By the junior year, students are prepared to excel in their chosen major at BU’s College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) or College of Engineering (ENG).

SEP students enjoy real advantages at Boston University, with access to all of the resources and activities that the University has to offer. Students also get the added benefit of small classes and a close-knit community of friends to study and socialize with, all of whom share a passion for science and engineering.

For details, visit the Science & Engineering Program page.

This semester I had a professor who really stood out for his genuine caring. For him, the most important thing was that we gained an understanding of the concepts, and he was really able to convey them.”
