The CULTURE OF WATER is an ongoing program of the Institute for Medieval History at Boston University to address the history of historically significant agricultural landscapes and strategies for their preservation. A forthcoming event is the session on "Technological Exchange, Modes of Production and Water Utilization in Europe and Latin America (from Ancient Times to the Twentieth Century)" at the XIII International Economic History Meeting (Buenos Aires, July 22-26, 2002).
