Welcome to the webpage of the Northeast Chapter of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills!

The Northeast Chapter of SPOOM was founded in 1997. It is a regional chapter of the Society for the Preservation of Old Mills (SPOOM), encompassing New England, New York, New Jersey, and Quebec. The Chapter holds two meetings a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. Membership is open to members of SPOOM.

New and of interest (updated 4.13.02):

  • Spring Meeting: We will convene Saturday April 27 at 10 AM at the Old Town Mill, 8 Mill Street, New London, Connecticut. We will tour the mill, listen to restoration plans, and have a short business meeting. Lunch will be provided at ca $10 per person.
