Media Support Services offers professional audio/visual
presentation, computer display, sound reinforcement and audio recording
services for the Boston University community. Our skilled staff and sophisticated
equipment are available to complement your on-campus presentation from
the planning phase right through to the successful completion of the
event. Our services range from providing a portable LCD projector for computer display or other AV equipment to displaying a 20-foot wide video image capable of being viewed by an
audience of 1000 people. We staff and operate state-of-the art facilities
in the School of Management, the Photonics Center and the Boston University Experience multi-media installation. We also specialize
in high quality audio recordings of meetings or symposia for transcription
or broadcast purposes. Our staff prides itself on providing client centered
service that enhances your presentation. We look forward to working with

Requisitions for services are required and must be submitted at least four business days before date of requested services. Requisitions with less lead-time will be serviced pending the availability of equipment and staff and may incur an additional surcharge of 20 percent. Billing for equipment and services will generally be completed and available three business days after the date of the event. Equipment rental rates do not include delivery and return. Labor charges will be added for delivery, setup, operation and return if these services are required. Labor charges for late night (after 9:30 p.m.) weekends (5 p.m. Friday-7: 30 a.m. Monday) and holidays will be billed at time-and-a-half with a four-hour minimum. Package costs that include labor will incur an additional charge of 20 percent for weekend service. Our daily rate is based on an eight-hour day usage. Our half-day rate is based on a four-hour or less usage for equipment listing half-day rates. Special rates apply for weekly and monthly equipment rentals and extended projects. Please call for availability. Late returns will incur a substantial fee. All equipment is checked before and after it has been loaned. If equipment fails during operation, there will be no charge, or a replacement unit will be offered at no extra charge, unless the equipment failure is due to client error or abuse. Media Support Services assumes no liability for equipment failure. All equipment checked-out is the responsibility of the client. Equipment and accessories not returned will be charged at the replacement cost. The cost of repairing equipment damaged through abuse or neglect will be assumed by the client. |

Equipment and labor charges are only presented as a guideline for the client. Written estimates are available upon receipt of the requisition for services. General estimates are available by phone, fax or e-mail from the Manager of Media Support Services or a designated assistant. Prices are subject to change without notice. Please call to inquire regarding additions to the equipment listing. The following prices apply to all Boston University faculty, staff and affiliates. Non-Boston University requests will be charged a rate 20 percent above current prices plus Massachusetts Sales Tax (5%) pending availability of equipment and staff. |
