Graduate

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Boston University offers several different graduate degrees. The Department offers the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, as well as the Master of Science (MS) degree in both Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, with the MS program offering non-thesis and thesis options.  In addition, we offer an MS/DLP (distance learning program) degree in Manufacturing Engineering as well as specialized degree options such as the MS in Global Manufacturing and a hybrid MS/MBA program in Manufacturing Engineering offered jointly with the BU School of Management.

Research interests in the Department of Mechanical Engineering are interdisciplinary, and include the following areas:
