Irene Diep

Irene Diep (MFG ’09)

Irene Diep graduated in 2009 from Boston University with a BS in Manufacturing Engineering. She highlights the study abroad program, team projects, senior capstone, and influential professors she met at BU. At present she works in a Commercial Leadership Program in sales and operations and a rotational program with Praxair Inc’s distribution and home and healthcare business units. They focus on lean six sigma projects. She currently lives in the west.


Christos Panidis

Christos Panidis (ME ’07)

Christos Panidis graduated from BU in 2007 with a BSME and began working for Weatherford International, an oil service company as a Drilling Engineer. He was in charge of executing the logging while drilling operations to reach target oil and gas reservoirs. Christos lived and worked on drilling platforms for 1-6 weeks in various locations in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Romania, and offshore Gulf of Mexico. He then worked for GE Energy in Houston as a Mechanical Engineer for the design of components for a 100MW aeroderivative gas turbine. In 2010, he completed his Masters of Engineering Management at Duke University where he focused on high-tech entrepreneurship and strategy. While in graduate school, he worked part-time for General Nano, a nanotechnology startup company as a consultant to develop commercialization and business strategies. In July 2010, Christos began working for Synthes Inc., a medical device company that develops products for the surgical fixation, correction and regeneration of the human skeleton and its soft tissue. He is part of the Engineering Rotational Program where he will be rotating between product development and operations over 3 years in the US and Switzerland. Currently, he is a Product Development Engineer in the Neurosurgery group and will, this summer, be transitioning to an operations role in Switzerland.

Steven Annunziato

Steven Annunziato (MS ’87)

Steven Annunziato received an MS from Boston University in 1987. He is currently the Senior Vice President of Marketing & Sales of Synapse Biomedical. Synapse Biomedical (www.synapsebiomedical.com) is focused on a life transforming neurostimulation platform technology, to treat people with respiratory insufficiency. Since graduating Boston University he has obtained over twenty years of medical device, diagnostics & life science experience. Fifteen years were with Johnson & Johnson companies, including Ethicon Endosurgery, Cordis and Codman & Shurtleff. After JNJ, he worked as officer of two public companies, Osteotech (OSTE) and Integra LifeSciences (IART), with responsibility in marketing, sales & business development. Prior to joining Synapse Biomedical ,Steven was US VP of Marketing at Draeger Medical, a leader in respiratory technology for the ICU and OR. He currently lives in Pennsylvania with his wife and two sons.
