Students can supplement their Mechanical Engineering degree by selecting a minor.
ME students can choose a minor field from 5 areas within Engineering. Completion of an engineering based minor requires students to take at least an additional 12 credit (equivalent of 3 courses) beyond the 136 required credits for the ME bachelors degree.
Minors are also available in almost every discipline at the university such as;
- Sustainable Energy (Interdisciplinary with CAS, SMG, and ENG)
- Biology, etc.
Each college sets its own requirement for minors. All minors will involve credits beyond the required 136 for the ME bachelors degree. Students can usually count one or two of the required minor courses towards the fulfillment of their ME requirements.
