Instructional Aerodynamic and Fluid Mechanics

Different wind tunnels are available to students and faculty for research and instruction; these are low-speed and smoke tunnels.

Using these tunnels, students perform experiments that illustrate the principles of fluid mechanics and aerodynamics. In addition, the laboratory is equipped with electronic and computer-assisted data acquisition systems for experimentation using transducers for measuring temperature, pressure, velocity, flow, displacement, acceleration, force, and strain.
