*The following students are required to participate in a qualifying medical insurance plan: Students certified as full-time; Students certified as part-time but registered for 75 percent or more of a full-time course load (nine or more credit hours for most schools); all International exchange visitors (i.e., J1, or J2 visa) and International students (i.e., F1, or F2 visa). Students in these categories are automatically enrolled in the Boston University Medical Insurance Plan and their student accounts are charged for the coverage. An enhanced plan (Student Plus Plan) is available for $1,997.
