Marsh Plaza and Chapel

Marsh Plaza exists because of the fund-raising skills and pastoral commitment of University President Daniel L. Marsh.

The funds to build the chapel and the plaza in front of it were the fruits of President Marsh's determination and prophetic power when approaching prospects. The very space was an indirect consequence of President Marsh's calling as a Methodist minister.

In his last term as mayor of Boston, James Michael Curley was obliged for some months to administer the city from Danbury, Connecticut, where the Federal government provided the mayor with unsought hospitality.
