Departments: Strategic Communications
Strategic Communications includes BU Creative Services, Campus Information & Visitor Relations, and Marketing and Communications' Administrative Services. Collectively, the professionals in each of these areas provide strategic and tactical communications services to nearly every department at Boston University. The focus of their work is to achieve the highest level of effectiveness in content, design, customer service, and administrative support while building the BU brand.
The assistant vice president for strategic communications is the best contact point to begin discussing a project that calls for the skills of more than one department within Marketing & Communications. The assistant vice president also coordinates a University-wide network of communications professionals known as the BU Communicators Group.
The assistant vice president is also the principal Marketing and Communications liaison with BU’s schools and colleges. Together with colleagues throughout the University the department ensures alignment of the top-tier communications with the BU brand.
