Departments: Media Relations
Media Relations is the principal link between Boston University and the regional, national, and international news media. The office works with newspaper, magazine, television, radio, online, and freelance reporters to provide 24-hour access to Boston University news, faculty experts, and University administrators. Media Relations staff members issue news releases, identify media opportunities, pitch stories to reporters, arrange media interviews, and monitor print and electronic press coverage of Boston University. The office also operates a broadcast studio to facilitate live or taped interviews with faculty experts commenting on daily news topics for national network and cable outlets such as Fox News, MSNBC, and Bloomberg.
Media Relations is available to assist with any issues related to the news media, including crisis communications, event publicity, and dissemination of research and general news. A daily electronic digest of news stories about Boston University is available to faculty and staff members upon request.
