Students and others affiliated with Lutheran Campus Ministry at BU are welcome to join our spring break trip to France March 2-11, 2001. "Pilgrimage" describes this trip in order to emphasize the intention of our journey and the expectations we have for it to change lives. Fun and adventure fill the trip, but the main emphasis is on a search for deeper meaning in life and growth in our lives of prayer. |

Travel Information |

|
We'll fly to Paris Friday evening, March 2nd. After a day of exploring Paris, our group will travel to Taizé by way of Reims. During the week at Taizé, there will be an option for a day-trip to Geneva (primarily to visit the Lutheran World Federation and the World Council of Churches). Lodging will be in youth hostels before we reach Taizé; at Taizé, the accommodations are similar in simple bunkhouses. We'll arrive back in Boston Sunday evening. |

For decades, young adults have been traveling to the tiny French village of Taizé in search of wellsprings of faith. They come to meet folks from around the world and to share in the peaceful life of the Community. At Taizé, prayers are sung three times a day in the Church of Reconciliation. There is no preaching, only song, Bible reading, and silence. These times of prayer combine with work in the afternoons and morning small group meetings to create a week of sharing that often changes lives. |
