Pastor Joanne Engquist serves as one of the university chaplains at Boston University, and as one of the pastors of University Lutheran Church in Cambridge. As advisor to the Lutheran Campus Ministry group, she works with student leaders developing programs that help students deepen their faith, have fun, and explore questions, as well as share worship, meals, and friendly conversation.
Joanne is on campus on Tuesdays and at other times during the month as needed. She welcomes the chance to get together with students, staff, and faculty members over coffee or a meal. On most Tuesdays, from 1 to 4pm, you can drop in to see her in Room B-9 in the basement of Marsh Chapel. Amber Ingalsbe
Amber Ingalsbe has been the chaplain intern for Lutheran Campus Ministry at BU since fall 2006. Amber is a student at Harvard Divinity School, studying to be a Lutheran pastor. She works with Joanne and BU undergraduate and graduate students to plan Tuesday worship and meals, informal gatherings, and other fun activities throughout the year. Amber also is available to meet with students for conversation over coffee, sodas, or meals. Please email her to set up a time.
Carlo Schmidt
Carlo Schmidt is a fieldwork student with Lutheran Campus Ministry serving as coordinator of the ONEprayer ecumenical worship and gatherings for community service. Carlo is a student at Harvard Divinity School who is originally from New Braunfals, Texas. He is at monthly gatherings for ONEprayer (both at BU and at University Lutheran Church) as well as occasional Tuesday evening worship services and meals for LCM at BU. Carlo also helps facilitate student meals and provides a welcome to undergrads and grad students at UniLu's 11am service.
