Pastor Joanne Engquist serves as one of
the university chaplains at Boston University, and as one
of the pastors of University Lutheran Church in Cambridge.
As advisor to the BU Lutheran Campus Ministry group, she
works with student leaders developing programs that help
students deepen their faith, have fun, and explore
questions, as well as share worship, meals, and friendly
conversation.
Joanne is on campus on Wednesdays and at other times
during the month as needed. She welcomes the chance to get
together with students, staff, and faculty members over

Tracy Howe
Tracy Howe is our worship leader for 2009-10. Tracy is a songwriter and activist who has been touring full-time as an
independent artist since 2000, playing on university campuses, in
prisons, churches, and living rooms and touring throughout North, Central,
and South America. She is now pursuing a Masters in Theological Studies
at Harvard Divinity School, combining theology and peace-making. Recently
she has been the artist-in-residence with New York Faith and Justice
and has partnered with many other leaders and groups internationally
including Dios Con Nosotros in Juarez, Mexico, Brian McLaren, Enter
the Worship Circle and Amahoro-Africa. She is very excited to be able
to work with Lutheran Campus Ministry facilitating the ONEprayer
worship gatherings. Tracy seeks to engage leaders and communities
working for restoration and justice, and create music that proclaims
goodness and hope in a world that is largely condemning. She also has
