Munich, Germany
Home base for our trip is central Munich, overnighting at the Meininger City Hostel near Hackerbrücke station on the S-bahn.
Day Trip One: Augsburg
Augsburg is home to two important "Luther times" and we'll visit that ancient city to explore aspects of the Reformation and other interesting Augsburg sites. |
Day Trip Two: Dachau
The gruesome concentration camp will be a place of contemplation as we explore aspects of World War II we have been reading and hearing about in group. |
Day Trip Three: Andechs Monastery
Just outside Munich is the enchanting 10th Century Benedictine Monastery where we'll explore another way of life and some fun aspects to German monasticism |
Our Partners in the Exploration
While we're there, we'll coordinate with ESG, the "Lutheran Campus Ministry" group at Germany's largest university: Ludwig-Maximilians Universität.
