From Disciples to Apostles

Early in ministry, Jesus gathered a group of learners whom many refer to as disciples. The "original twelve" disciples were men from a variety of backgrounds and vocations who took time to listen to Jesus. They learned from him new ways of looking at the world and at themselves. Eventually, they were sent out as apostles to share with others what they had learned from Jesus.

This basic story of discipleship continues today--in many places, but in very special ways with young adults on college campuses.

From 2002-2003, Lutheran Campus Ministry at BU will offer formal opportunities to study, learn, and share in a discipleship program that is being funded by a generous grant from Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL).

LCM at BU leaders hope that many will learn and grow through this program and are excited by the opportunities it will create to deepen faith, strengthen leadership, and enrich community.
