Computational Linguistics @ BU
If you’re interested (or think you might be interested) in computational linguistics, CL@BU is having an introductory meeting this coming Saturday, from 11-2 in the GSU.
The official announcement of the CL@BU meeting:
Join us: Brunch for the body and mind!
Computational Linguistics at BU (CLABU)
Saturday, September 17th
from 11 to 2
at the George Sherman Union (GSU).
We will meet at one of the tables in the back of the food court near the
windows. Get a bite to eat and come on over!
This will be largely an introductory and organizational meeting:
* What is computational linguistics? Why should you care?
* What is corpus linguistics? How can it help your study of linguistics?
* How is corpus linguistics related to computational linguistics?
* What topics will we study this year in CLABU?
If time permits, we may discuss the basics of machine translation. If you‚re
planning to come, please let us know by sending an email to Mary
(mhughs@bu.edu) or Aisha ( aishasaidi@hotmail.com).
Anyone curious about this field is always welcome, so grab a cup of coffee
and something to eat and join us at the GSU this Saturday at 11.
