1 . Let's assume your professor has asked you to find some resources such as books or journal articles for a paper you've been assigned. Using the library website, how would you begin?
User's response comments: Clicked on the eJournal Locator selected the keyword radio button- switched to the alphabetical list- “..looking for JSTOR…”- scanning to find it. “Oh, are these specific journals?” “I guess I could just pick a journal on the same subject as my paper and then use a keyword search”

Using the library website, can you tell if the library has
any books written by Al Gore?
Observer's comments: Clicked on the BOOKS tab- clicked the author radio button-searched for “al gore” clicked on the cross reference to “Gore, Al” and found books.

3. Using the library website, can you find the Journal of the North Atlantic online?
Observers Comment: Clicked on the eJournal Locator selected the keyword radio button -typed “north atlantic” and found the journal.

4. Using the library website, can you find a print or
hard copy edition of the Journal
of marriage and the family?
Observers comments: Clicked on eJournal Locator- typed “journal of marriage and the family” got the “not found” message but clicked on library catalog link and was successful.

Observers comments: Clicked on the BOOKS tab and clicked on RESERVE. (Observed that you could just search for a specific book by title and the location would “tell you where it is”)

Users's response/comments: “I usually just go to the journals (eJournal Locator) – we have specific ones we are supposed to use”
Observers response/comments: Clicked “Research by Subject” and “Biology” clicked General Science Index - but selected “Applied Science & Technology Full Text” at the Wilson Web site – typed “stem cells” and found some articles.

Observers response/comments:Like the BOOKS tab AND “Renew Books” “Maybe the sub-tabs should be on the ARTICLES tab too.” Searching is easy “You just type in what you want”.
10. How would you change the library's
website to make it more useful for you?
Observers response/comments: “I always do the same thing- I go directly to the eJournals Locator and look for a specific journal”
