Responsibilities

Primary assignment is with the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center, although my office is in Cataloging and metadata services department.
Manage, edit, create cataloging records for international cataloging data base (OCLC), using AACR2 rules (soon RDA rules); edit, contribute cataloging and authority records on Millennium (soon Alma) local online catalog.
Special Collections cataloging in all languages (often with assistance from language expert colleagues), subjects and formats
Catalog eBooks, eJournals, dissertations.
Update lists of authority names and subjects.
Teach and consult with Metadata colleague.
Teach students to use online catalog and data bases at Research Desk.

Committees

Mentoring committee chair. Arrange orientation for new staff including tours of branch libraries. Update web site. Created web site describing procedures of how materials are acquired and processed in the various library departments.
