Reserve Information: Students

General Information

The reserve collection is composed of material chosen by the SED faculty for the use of students in their classes. Material on reserve is shelved in closed stacks behind the circulation desk and is available for loan periods of two hours, two hours/overnight, one day, three days, and seven days. Two hours/overnight reserve items are available overnight when checked out within two hours of the closing of the library. Items from the library collection as well as personal materials such as course handouts, lecture notes, journal articles, or sample exams may be designated for reserve.

PERL does not accept holds on reserve items. Reserve items are checked out on a first-come, first-served basis.

PERL also does not renew reserve items. This is to assure that other students will have access to the reserves.

If  you wish to dispute a charge please contact a full time staff member at the circulation desk during day-time hours or call (617) 353-3734.
