2018 Kids Count Data Book
The 2018 Kids Count Data Book is now available! Each year, the Annie E. Casey Foundation releases this important report about children in the United States. In addition to offering the data on the website, the report details trends in
- overall child well-being,
- economic well-being,
- education,
- health, and
- family and community.
State-by-state rankings examine the above trends, and the methodology is available as a separate download. The foreword to the report addresses the problem of children that don’t get counted in the census:
“The 2010 U.S. Census failed to count almost 1 million children younger than age 5.”
