Capstone 2014 Begins on March 28th

March 26th, 2014

in Frederick S. Pardee Management Library, Mugar Memorial Library, Science and Engineering Library

Representing the culmination of a BU student’s experience at the College of General Studies, this year’s Capstone Project focuses on the interdisciplinary nature of man and environment. The theme of Think Globally, Act Locally touches upon everything in urban life — climate, biodiversity, wildlife, transportation, water, waste disposal, energy and human health and welfare. By researching one of these topics for Boston and Massachusetts, student groups working together will argue, both in writing and orally, for specific policy proposals to solve the problem on a global scale. The BU Libraries and the librarians on the Capstone Committee have worked to create a useful Research Guide where students can begin their investigation. Informal sessions will also be held in the PAL Lounge at Mugar for more in-depth research assistance on Sat 3/29 (1-4p), Sun 3/30 (1-5p), Mon 3/31 (12-3p), Tue 4/1 (2-5p), Wed 4/2 (2-4p). Please spread the word!
