Enhancing the K-12 experience: the Digital Textbook Playbook

March 16th, 2012

in Pickering Educational Resources Library

The Digital Textbook Playbook is a guide designed to help K-12 educators accelerate digital textbook adoption. The playbook was produced by the Digital Textbook Collaborative, a group convened by the Federal Communications Commission and the U.S. Department of Education. The collaborative also included members like Apple, Dell, Discovery Education, Intel, McGraw Hill, Microsoft, Samsung and the San Diego Unified School District.

The accompanying Fact Sheet describes major challenges to digital textbook adoption, and ways in which the Playbook is intended to help.  It also highlights some districts, schools, and states that have "engaged in successful transitions to digital learning".
