Just arrived: Instructional, Evening Services Coordinator

We welcome Ms. Lena Serpa, Instructional and Evening Services Coordinator at the Music Library. Her charge includes overseeing processing and refining of physical and online reserves, working with courseware, and facilitating maximum utilization of collection resources, and extending full library services during evenings and weekends. 

Lena is a current graduate student in Library Science at Simmons College; she holds two other degrees (BA, Music History and Education, Vocal Major, and, BA, English Literature, concentrating in 19th-century British Literature). She is fluent in Portuguese. Her experience includes hiring and managing student assistants, a processor in the Archives of New England Conservatory, a writer in the Office to the Vice Chancellor of Community Relations and Special Events at UMass Boston, and, as an Administrative Assistant for the Music Department of Northeastern University.
 
Lena’s Fall 2010 schedule is Sunday-Thursday, 1 pm – 9 pm.
