Open Access Day – Tuesday, October 14
“Open Access is a growing international movement that uses the Internet
to throw open the locked doors that once hid knowledge. It encourages
the unrestricted sharing of research results with everyone, everywhere,
for the advancement and enjoyment of science and society.”
The world’s first Open Access Day will take place Tuesday, October 14, 2008. The purpose of the day is to help broaden awareness and understanding of open access within the higher education community and the general public.
To learn more about open access, please stop by the table inside the entrance of the Mugar Memorial Library on October 14.
