Note: Detailed indexing, content and citation analysis of several hundred older and/or smaller now-historical music periodicals, international in scope. An ongoing project.

Note: (IIMP) This package newly supplies, or extends existing, full-text access to several dozen music periodicals and indexing/abstracting coverage to many dozens more. Previously unavailable online here, some of the prominent professional or trade titles include, Strings, Journal of Singing, Jazziz, and the Journal of the Indian Musicological Society.

Note: (IIPA) Similar in look and feel to the IIMP, this packagenewly supplies or extends existing, full-text coverage of dance and theatre-related trade and professional periodicals. Examples of titles available online here for the first time include New England Theatre Journal, American Journal of Dance Therapy, Dance Teacher (Raliegh, NC), and Back Stage East.

Read their great FAQ for the latest on scope and progress of RISM and of A/II–locating manuscripts of music–in particular. Note: This database provides descriptions and many full color reproductions of early European manuscript, map and book sources. Content is interdisciplinary and does include some music. Contributing institution locationsinclude Stockholm, Ankara, Zagreb, among others, and the project is coordinated by the National Library of Prague which is also a major contributor.This siteis a continuation of the 1992 UNESCO initiative, Memory of the World.
