Computing, Printing: the BU Common @ Mugar
Expanded resources in our building now include:

Keep track of the printing queue at Mugar and your ACS account allottment.
1st floor photocopy services assist as needed with the public photocopy machines (use coins or copy card) and also manage departmental accounts and special copying jobs (617-353-3722). Free scanning is also available and may be saved to a USB device or sent via email as an attachment.
2nd floor location, Music's "listening room" PC workstations support full internet access. They are not networked to a printer. One of these is fitted with the Dolphin adaptive screen-reader.
Headsets. You are welcome to bring your own small sets or earbuds, or you may use ours.
Sorry, we do not offer a laptop loan program.
Macs for personal use are available at CFA's Computing Lab (617-353-3333) and at CFA's Music Curriculum Library (617-353-3731)
On-campus laptop wireless access via the vpn within the building and elsewhere is available to current students, faculty and staff. There is no networked wireless printing within the library, however. More information on VPN can be found at the IS&T VPN page.
Off-campus methods of authenticating your access to restricted library resources; in most cases you'll simply be prompted to log in with your BU kerberos combination when entering a specially licensed resource from a library page.

Microform scanning and printing in the library is available in the Microforms Reading Room. Scanned frames may be saved as .pdf files on USB devices or sent as email attachments.
