Borrowing Privileges and Policies

Individuals with a current Boston University "Terrier" card, a Boston University alumni card, or a Boston Library Consortium card issued by a cooperating library are eligible to borrow library materials. Loan periods and renewal options vary according to borrower status and type of material (see table).

Renewal - With a Personal Identification
Number (PIN), you can access your library record and renew your
own books. PINs are available from circulation desk staff.
To login to your library record go to My Library . Books may be renewed twice before they need to be brought back to the library. Renewals are not permitted if a book is overdue or has been recalled.
Fines and replacement charges

Holds & Recalls
Books are subject to recall after 2 weeks. If the book you need is checked out to another
borrower, ask a member of the Circulation Desk staff to
place a hold on it for you. We will contact the borrower
and ask that it be returned within 7 days (i.e. recall
it) and email you as soon as it is available.
