SEC Filings

[10ks and 8ks explained]

Mergent Online [About] Works best with Internet Explorer.
Search for a company by company name or by ticker symbol. Once a company is selected, select the "Edgar Search" tab. Edgar filings can be searched by company name, by specific filing type, by date and for specific text within filings. Documents can be downloaded into Excel or Word. For a description of Edgar /SEC filings, click on the Edgar Definitions tab at the top of the search form.

LexisNexis Academic [About]
Select "Business" under the "Search" tab. Select "SEC Filings" from the menu on the right; enter name of company and select dates and SEC form.

Bloomberg [About]
(Accessible at a dedicated terminal at Pardee Library.)
The function for downloadable, printable 10-Ks and other SEC filings is EDGR.
For any public company, type the ticker symbol, hit the yellow equity key, type EDGR, and hit <Go> or type the ticker symbol, hit the yellow equity key, and then type CF.
Filings are shown in reverse chronological order. Choose a filing by line # and hit <Go>. Select Option One to view and download the document for printing. For documents in pdf. format, select Print from the tool bar at the top of the screen. To print non pdf. documents, type the number of pages you want to print and hit the Print button; if you want to print a portion of a document, type the number of pages you want to print.

Corporate Reports on Fiche:
This collection covers reports (annual reports, 10-ks, 8-ks, proxys, etc) filed or released between 1973 and early 1998. The indexes to the fiche are in the following volumes, which are located in the Microforms Reference area:

These indexes provide the fiche number for the company report to be consulted. The fiche, arranged by fiche number, are located in drawers labeled Corporate Reports and SEC File.
