The AccuNet/AP Multimedia Archive - an electronic library of photographs and other graphic images drawn from the collections of the Associated Press - is available to Charles River Campus affiliates, on-campus only.
The archive currently contains 700,000 photos, most of which are contemporary photographs taken since 1995. The archive includes thousands of historical images, dating back to the 1800s. The archive also makes available charts, graphs, tables, and maps from the AP's graphics portfolio. Copies of the images in the archive may be downloaded or printed for educational use.
The subscription database PressDisplay provides current issues of over 500

Early American Newspapers
Mugar Memorial Library has an extensive film collection of U.S. newspapers from the late 18th and early 19th centuries - too many to list here. These papers may be found by searching the series name, Early American Newspapers, as a title in the Boston University Online Catalog. They may also be found by searching the catalog by title for the indvidual newspaper names, or by searching by subject for the geographic place of publication followed by the subheading "Newspapers" (for example: "Boston (Mass.) -- Newspapers").

Mugar Reserve
Recent issues of five newspapers are kept on Reserve in Mugar Memorial
Library until they are replaced by microfilm. All issues of The Washington
Post are kept on Reserve; the current week's issues of the other
papers are kept in the Current Periodicals Room, and older issues are
on Reserve.
