This collection, based on Evans' American Bibliography, contains the full text of all known existing boooks, pamphlets and broadsides printed in the United States or British American colonies from 1639 through 1800. It reproduces every non-serial item listed in Evans and additional titles from Bristol's supplement to Evans. Fiche, arranged by 'Evans number', is stored in the Current Periodicals Room cabinets under 'Evans'.
Note regarding Bristol: Only those items with an m.p. number can be found in the microfiche set.

Chiefly textual data with some image data. Contains records of 27,233 trans-Atlantic slave ship voyages made between 1595 and 1866. Format allows users to track information by time period and geographic region, and includes interactive maps that allow viewers to chart the trans-Atlantic connections. The accompanying data contains materials about people on board, owners and captains, ships' characteristics, and the geographic trajectory of each voyage.
