The American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) provide information on U.S. bankruptcy filings annually and quarterly. Most of the data that appears in this section comes from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

Industrial Research & Development
The National Science Foundation’s 2008 Business R&D and Innovation Survey (BRDIS), successor to the Survey of Industrial Research and Development, collected information from a nationally representative sample of about 40,000 companies, including companies in both manufacturing and nonmanufacturing industries. BRDIS is the primary source of information on business domestic and global R&D expenditures and workforce.
