Cooperative Africana Microforms Project: Recent Acquisitions
The catalog of CAMP materials is accessible at http://www.crl.edu/catalog/index.htm. BU students and faculty may borrow from CAMP via the Interlibrary Loan service in Mugar. CAMP is a vital source of primary documents and archival materials. The loan periods are generous, but please do allow sufficient time for the transaction to be processed - often several weeks.

Reproduced Swahili manuscripts from seven collections at the School
of Oriental and African Studies in Britain. The manuscripts, dating
from the 1790s to the 1970s and providing a record of a much older
oral tradition, will be of interest to students of African culture
and history, the Swahili language, the literature and thought of
the people of East Africa, and relations between Arabic and African
scholars

Buganda Lukiiko archives, 1894-1918 [microform] / John
A. Rowe, collector
Consists of English translations of Buganda Lukiiko (parliament)
proceedings, 1894-1918. The translations were made in the mid-1950's
as part of a project initiated by Dr. Lloyd Fallers of the East
African Institute of Social Research, Makerere University College.
The present typescript copy of the translations, dated July 1, 1969,
was created by J.A. Rowe, Northwestern University History Dept.
