Instruction

Librarians lead sessions on library electronic resources (indexes, abstracts and scholarly web sites). Research strategies using these resources are introduced.

Boston University's WebCentral Staff offer an array of classes related to your web development needs.

Newcomers Ongoing. Music Freshmen who were unable to attend orientations, or newcomers at any time, are encouraged to schedule a session with Holly Mockovak (mockovak@bu.edu); phone 617-353-3705.

Faculty are invited to make arrangements with us for individual or group orientations, or classes, or to otherwise involve the libraries in supporting courses, thesis writers, and research projects; phone 617-353-3705.

Library Sessions:

CFA Music Freshmen, MU 100. Your class date for orientation is Friday, October 31st, 2003 (you'll receive details by mid-October). While you will have a specific agenda for that day, we encourage you to visit us early on in your semester here at the University.

MU 631/659, Music Education II. September 12th, 11 a.m. -- 12:30 p.m. Gather at the Music Library, 2nd floor of Mugar Memorial Library.

MU 649, Music Research Techniques. September 11th, 9 a.m. -- 10 a.m., gather as usual in your classroom, Mugar 203
MU 775, Introduction to Music Education Research. September 15th, 5 p.m. -- 7 p.m. Gather at the Music Library, 2nd floor of Mugar Memorial Library.

Mu 864, Critique in Music Education. Wednesday, January 28th, 2004. Gather at the Music Library between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m., we will continue for a couple of hours, details to be announced.
