If you're a high school student interested in science, come spend the morning in our labs learning about termite biology. Professor Chris Li and her associates will guide you through two hands-on workshops that will include:

  • Learn how termites differentiate their coworkers from foreign termites;
  • See what organisms in the termite help it digest wood;
  • Discover how termites tell fellow termites where food sources are located.

  • Learn how to visualize DNA on gels;
  • Learn how to analyze termite DNA.
