Six African universities adopt BME curriculum developed in part by LEED

Johannesburg, South Africa, 23 November 2011
Today, the UNECA supported initiative termed “Engineering Expertise to Improve Health Outcomes in Africa” has adopted a generic Biomedical Engineering (BME) curriculum to guide participating universities develop their own BME programs and departments. Representative from universities in Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa and Zambia participated in the two day Biomedical Engineering Meeting in South Africa.
