Archival Research & Reproduction

All requests will be acknowledged within 2 business days.  However, due to limited staff you should allow up to 10 business days for a full response to your request.  We may be able to fill some requests electronically, however some requests may require a visit to the Library.  Please note that depending on the extent of your query, you may be advised that a visit may be necessary.

Individuals should contact the Interlibrary Loan department of their universities or local public libraries for scans of archives materials. The library will scan up to 25 pages for remote patrons per request.  Due to our limited staff, we regret that we are unable to process requests on a rush basis.

Scanners are available, subject to the restrictions on reproduction listed here.  See scanning pages for more details.  Many of the materials in the archives collection may be scanned or digitally photographed.  Fragile or damaged materials may have restrictions on reproduction.  The reference librarian assigned to a visitor will alert them to any restrictions.  Visiting Researchers: Please note that any scanned or digitally photographed materials are for personal study purposes only and cannot be reproduced; transferred to any other individual, institution, or collection; exhibited; performed; broadcast; posted on the Internet; or used commercially without the express written permission of the University.  Audiovisual materials may not be duplicated.
