The Training on Demand service allows students to request research training for short term projects or focusing on particular research skills. It is intended to supplement mandatory training programs and specialized training for Research Assistants, Journal Members, and Prepare for Summer.
Potential legal topics include: intellectual property law, health law, banking law, taxation, EU research, UN research, etc. We also offer specialized topics such as Supreme Court research, legislative history research, regulatory research, etc. Need to learn more about electronic resources? Request a class on free legal research on the Internet, low cost alternatives to Lexis and Westlaw such as Loislaw, Casemaker or Fastcase, etc. Finally, we are also available to teach non-legal research such as business and finance, economics, psychology or sociology, political science, or even philosophy and religion.
A group of 5 to 15 students may request a Training on Demand. One student should be designated as the Coordinator. This person will be contacted by a reference librarian to discuss the details of the training session. The coordinator will then notify the entire group about the agreed upon training time.
