Additional Services for Law Faculty Research Assistants

The library provides an extensive orientation and training program for summer research assistants. Orientation consists of registration for library services as well as a presentation on special services for research assistants. Training sessions cover research techniques and topics relevant to the faculty's research needs.

Research assistants who work during the academic year may obtain a copy of the library's Research Assistant Guide for detailed information on library services. They may also request a research appointment to meet with a reference librarian to discuss special needs.

Registered research assistants have access to high speed printers for both LexisNexis and Westlaw printing. For other printing and photocopying needs copy cards are available from the Pappas circulation desk .

Law library circulation staff are available to assist research assistants with questions on finding and borrowing library materials from all of the BU libraries. The law interlibrary loan supervisor can assist with borrowing materials not owned or missing from BU collections.

Registered research assistants may also request library space. Carrels are located in the lower level of Pappas and provide research assistants with space to both work with and store research materials.
