Additional Services for Law Journal Members
Law library staff meet with incoming journal management in late spring to coordinate and plan the fall orientation and training programs. The reference librarians offer tech check research training during the first weeks of classes. These journal specific sessions provide tools and tips for locating materials for citation checking assignments.
Research guides and the Tech Check Preview service are available on the library's web site throughout the year.
Circulation staff can assist with finding and borrowing materials from all BU libraries. The interlibrary loan supervisor can request materials from other sources that are not owned or are missing from BU collections. The library has designated space in the Annex for journals to hold materials while articles are being edited. Some journals prefer materials to he held in the journal office. Please check with your editor for your journal's policies.
High-speed printers for LexisNexis and Westlaw are available to journal members who have attended library sponsored training. In addition many of the journals purchase copy cards to print from the web and to copy materials that cannot be held at Pappas or the Annex. Please check with your editor for copy card availability.
