Additional Services for Law Faculty: Faculty Library & Lounge
Faculty Library * Lounge
The ninth floor faculty library is a small collection of selected primary materials, law reviews, treatises, looseleaf services, indexes and legal newspapers.
By agreement among faculty, the collection is non-circulating. The law library has copies of all titles in the faculty library, and library copies are signed out to faculty upon request.
Information on titles in the Pappas law library and other Boston University libraries can be accessed from the faculty library through the BU online catalog.
The computers in the faculty library will access Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, CD-Rom products, the Internet and instructional materials from CALI. Please use the individual passwords assigned to you for Lexis and Westlaw. Print requests from Lexis and Westlaw may be sent to the Pappas library's laser printers located in room 352. Printouts may be picked up immediately or delivered to you with the next day's mail delivery.
The research carrels in the faculty library are shared by all faculty. To insure privacy for faculty and security for the collection, the library remains locked. Linda Skinner (room 1040A, x8747) issues faculty library keys and copy cards for the photocopier in the faculty library.
The law library and computer systems department maintain the faculty library collection, photocopier, and computer equipment. Please contact Amity Dubell (x8879), Terri Geiger (x8881), or Marlene Alderman (x8870) if you have questions, suggestions, or problems regarding the faculty library.
Lounge
The law library delivers copies of the New York Times, the Boston Globe, the Wall Street Journal and the previous day's Washington Post to the tenth floor faculty lounge each weekday morning. Copies of U.S. Supreme Court Reports and Massachusetts reporters also are available in the Faculty Lounge.
