Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility:
Journal Articles and Current Awareness

Current awareness sources keep practitioners on top of new developments in a particular field of law, and are excellent sources to browse for paper topics.

  • The "Current Reports" volumes of the ABA/BNA Lawyers' Manual on Professional Conduct (Law reserve KF 305 A15 A2) include biweekly newsletters with stories detailing current developments in the legal ethics field. The Online edition includes the Current Reports.

  • LegalEthics.com has current news on its homepage.

  • FindLaw provides links to sources for news related to legal ethics.

While there are numerous journals which specialize in legal ethics, a general search in law review and law journal literature will uncover relevant articles in those sources as well as general legal periodicals.

Indexes can also be particularly helpful when full text searches do not yield relevant results.

National Reporter on Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility (law looseleaf KF 306 A45 N3) includes a bibliography of articles organized by subject at the end of volume IV
