Electronic Resources: Find Articles in Legal Journals

Indexes contain citation information for articles in legal journals. Because an index search only searches the citation and article abstract, your searches will return more relevant results than a search in a full text database. With the journal article citation, use the guide to law library periodicals, search the BU online catalog by journal title, or use a full-text journal database to find the articles.

Use full-text journal databases to obtain the full-text of articles in legal periodicals. Often these databases contain a PDF version of the article which has been scanned from the original. Selected individual full-text journals are also available, mostly in PDF format, check the law library periodicals list for these additional titles. Remember to check the database for date coverage information before you search.
