Banking Law Research Guide

Researching the law of banking involves the same process as researching many other areas of the law. You will need to research statutes and case law. In this highly regulated area, administrative law research is very important and may include documents generated by many different federal agencies that are involved in regulation of banking and financial services institutions. Secondary sources may be a good place to begin your research. Keep informed by consulting a range of current awareness sources. Helpful web sites include those from government agencies, private associations and foreign central banks. Please consult the reference librarians for assistance with your legal research related to banking or any other subject.

An extensive range of research resources on banking, securities and related topics are available from IntelliConnect (formerly the CCH Business and Finance Internet Research Network). Note: When logging in, you will be prompted to enter your BU e-mail address, in order to preserve any settings you have made. First-time users will need to create a password.
