Tech Check Preview & ILL Check

Both the Tech Check Preview and the ILL Check are reference services that streamline the cite-checking process by identifying items that may be difficult to locate.

Tech Check Preview

Who can use the service

  • International Law Journal – all articles (due to the difficulty of identifying foreign and international sources)
  • Other Journals – any articles having sources that members may have difficulty locating

Submit your articles

  • with an electronic table containing footnotes and citations
  • at least 3 weeks before it will be assigned to journal members
  • designate an ILL contact if different from the ILL coordinator
  • send to lawlib@bu.edu; cc. sadac@bu.edu
  • A reference librarian will contact the journal to acknowledge receipt

The Report

  • Identifies BU owned sources
  • Suggests online alternatives to print resources
  • Identifies sources not owned at BU
    • requests interlibrary loans as part of the process
  • Identifies sources that may be difficult to get without the author’s help

ILL Check

  • All Journals

Submit your articles
