Richard GraberAlumnus Richard Graber ('81) Named Ambassador to Czech Republic

This July, Richard W. Graber was nominated by President Bush to serve as U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic. Unanimous approval by the U.S. Senate in early August confirmed Graber's new appointment.

Graber currently serves as director, president and chief executive officer of the Milwaukee-based law firm of Reinhart, Boerner, Van Deuren. As chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin since 1999, Graber is one of the longest-serving Republican chairs in the U.S.

Previously, Graber served as vice chairman and director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago. Graber plans to take his oath and prepare for departure for Prague by October.
