Message from the Director
Dear Students, Colleagues and Friends,
I'm pleased to welcome you to the BU Law Graduate Tax Program Web site, and to provide you with a bit of information about this nationally renowned program.
In September 2014, the Graduate Tax Program welcomed one of the most diverse classes in program history. Thirty-six new students joined our program’s on-campus enrollment option; these students represent nine different countries, and range in age from 22 to 48 years old. Combined with our continuing residential student cohort, there are currently 58 students enrolled in our program, on-campus. In addition, we welcomed 22 new students to our online program option, growing the size of our online student cohort to 82. In total, 140 students are enrolled in the Graduate Tax Program—signaling that the value of the BU Law LLM in Taxation remains as strong as ever.
The relatively large size of the Graduate Tax Program makes it possible to offer a curriculum that's truly enviable in its breadth and depth, allowing students to concentrate their study of tax law, if they wish, in specific practice areas. Instruction is provided by both tax scholars who are members of the full-time faculty and distinguished tax practitioners from law firms, tax consulting firms and the Internal Revenue Service.
We encourage you to learn more about our school and our city through this site. And we certainly hope that you will contact us if you would like to receive a copy of our bulletin, if you have any further questions, or if you would like to stop by the School for a visit.
