Bio

Robert Brown is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer for NetNearU,a 16-year old software and technology company which deploys and manages the public WiFi networks at more than 25,000 locations forSprint,Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Brighthouse, US Marine Corps and many others around the world. Prior to NetNearU, Robert was responsible for business development at Google Fiber where he led the team in charge of wireless strategies and partner development. Prior to Google, Robert served as a management consultant assisting major carriers and service providers including Google Fiber, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Mobilitie, HarborLink, Tengo Internet, and Pronto Networks with their Wi-Fi and micro-network product strategies, product development, market sizing, and business development. Prior to that, Robert was Director of Strategic Business Development for AT&T Wi-Fi Services and Wayport Inc. which was acquired by AT&T. At Wayport, he executed strategic planning, managed roaming relationships and supported cross-functional teams in charge of new, large-scale managed services deployments for public/private Wi-Fi networks, transport and data applications at major hotels, airports, hospitals, restaurants and retail venues, including McDonald's and Starbucks.

Robert received his B.S. degree in Mass Communications from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.B.A from Colorado Tech.

What interested me most about the Executive LLM Program:

"I am most interested in applying international business law in my role with Google, with respect to contracts, intellectual property and other dealings with multi-national companies."

Bio

I am a French lawyer. I studied business and European laws in Paris (Paris 2-Assas and Paris 10-Nanterre), and did my Bar School in Versailles. I started working for Sanofi, a multinational pharmaceutical company, in 2003. Following five years of legal practice supporting the Research & Development organization in Paris, I joined their newly-created Oncology Division in Cambridge, MA, USA, in September 2010 where I now live. My activities are mainly to draft, negotiate and follow-up on various US and international agreements for Marketing, Medical Affairs and R&D organizations.

What interested me most about the Executive LL.M. program:

"I would very much like to enhance my French and European legal education with a well-structured U.S. legal education to help me further develop my skills and let me better understand a wide range of legal issues in an international context. This opportunity will allow me to share my experience as a lawyer having worked both in France and in the U.S. I look forward to participating in the discussions with other students and professors on the different cases assigned and to learn the different approaches."

Nadine has two law degrees in Lebanese and General French Law. She worked in Lebanon under two privately owned law offices and was also a legal advisor to the Lebanese Red Cross Headquarters. Coming from a civil law background, after moving to the U.S.A, Nadine decided to pursue the ELLM in order to broaden her understanding of the American common law system and its applicability to international legal practice.

José Luis Finocchio Junior is a corporate lawyer in Brazil and his practice focuses on M&A andContracts. Hehas been the leader legal advisor of many relevant mergers andacquisitions operations in Brazil. He is also member of board of directors of many familiar companies.

What interested me most about the Executive LL.M. program:

Arthur Langford earned his J.D with concentration in Intellectual Property, Media & Information Law from the Massachusetts School of Law, his B.A. in Business Administration from the American InterContinental University, and studied the Russian language at George Mason University and The Moscow State University. He has 25 years defense industry experience, 10 of which were spent living in the former Soviet Union, with the last 9 years focused on contracts administration.

What interested me most about the Executive LL.M. Program:

"Two things which interested me most about the BU Executive LL.M. Program were the direct applicability of the curriculum to current and future business activity in the global environment which will further equip me based on the outlook of my employer's international business strategy, and secondly, the ability to complete the course work while on my assignment outside the U.S. because of the program flexibility overall scheduling, particularly for the residency requirement."

David Milliman earned his B.A. in International Relations from Tulane University, a J.D. from Louisiana State University, and an M.A. in Russian & Eastern European Studies from the University of Michigan. Currently David is a contract attorney with HireCounsel were he reviews Russian and English language documents for relevance and privilege on behalf of law firms representing multinational corporate clients in complex civil and administrative matters.

Bio

Robert Néron was an Administrative Judge for 11 years at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) and held the position of Assistant Deputy Chairperson for seven years. During his tenure at the IRB, Néron adjudicated high-profile cases of individuals accused of committing war crimes or crimes against humanity. Several of his decisions have been digested and published. Néron is presently the Principal and President of Simner Corporation, a Global Arbitration Firm, where he is an arbitrator for different clients including the Government of Canada. He acts, inter alia, as Independent Adjudicator for the compensation of damage claims for the sexual, psychological and physical abuse suffered by First Nations, Métis and Inuit people when resident in Canada's former Indian Residential School system. He also acts as Labor Arbitrator for Canada Revenue Agency where he settles grievances filed by Public Servant, and he has been appointed by the Ontario Government as a Senior Negotiator for the Ontario Board of Negotiation where he assists the parties to reach acceptable compensation and agreeable settlements for land expropriations. In sum, Néron is an experienced Administrative Judge and he has considerable experience in providing advice in commercial law and civil litigation, as well as in providing general advice to Boards of Directors, drafting commercial contracts, and working on complex real estate transactions.

What interested me most about the Executive LL.M. Program:

Alvaro is an attorney at Law with more than 15 years' experience in civil and commercial law and other related areas with special development in telecommunication and technological issues. With a Masters Law Degree from Italy (Universitá Tor Vergata and La Sapienza). Experience related to management in corporate expert advice on the subject of telecommunications and entrepreneurial rights (civilian, commercial, taxpayer, international changes, corporations, regimen of foreign investment, customers and suppliers). Working in multinational corporations, I have regional experience in legal, regulatory, corporative (board of directors, general assemblies, shareholder agreements, merges & acquisitions, due diligence, etc) and international business specialty in Mexico and the Andean Region. Worked in Claro Mobile Phone Company (formerly Comcel), AT&T Latin America, Comsat/ British Telecommunications and currently in Level 3 communications as Legal & Regulatory Director for the Andean Cluster.

Lizhe (Lee) Sun is chairman of Huazhang Publishing company in China. He is a clinical oncologist and concurrently a board member of CP Pharmaceutical company and serves as chairman of board's strategy committee. His primary work involves in designing, communicating and monitoring the implementation of the company's strategies including various anti-cancer product development programs. He focuses on periodical review and recommendation of adaptive changes of the company's overall strategy in response to the contextual changes in regulatory, political, and economic atmosphere. He also serves as member of a Chinese commercial bank and a technology company.

What interested me most about the Executive LL.M. Program:
