Human Rights Week

BU Law sponsored a Human Rights Week, hosting several speakers and programs to raise awareness of domestic and international human rights issues. Topics of discussion included the use of torture; the impact of domestic surveillance on civil liberties; the value of fair trade coffee; rehabilitation of prisoners; women and political leadership in Iran; and American and international approaches to protecting religious freedom. Activities also included a workshop focusing on clinical work in human rights and a screening of the documentary "Mrs. President: Women & Political Leadership in Iran."
