J.D. Program

Immigration Detention Clinic

The Immigration Detention Clinic covers issues of detention in the immigration context, including federal detention standards and release from detention through bond and parole. Students receive training in "Know Your Rights" presentations and visit local detention facilities to provide intake and assistance to individuals in immigration custody. The class may also provide limited representation in bond proceedings before the immigration court.
